I hit a creative wall yesterday. I spent hours trying to create something beautiful and just failing miserably. Nothing I did was right or was even close to being something that worked. And yet I kept trying to chip away at my, clearly, flawed idea. For hours. Which meant on top of creating nothing that remotely worked, I also felt like I was wasting hours of creativity time. Which in turn added to the pressure to create something good. Ugh. I hate days like that!
I ended up snapping my computer closed and retreating to the kitchen where I baked like a mad woman. Sometimes its so good to just make something real that you KNOW works (and that you can promptly eat a lot of). So yesterday I made this pizza, these bagels and these lemon butter cookies. And we had good friends over for a hilariously fun game night. I feel much better today. Let’s do try this creative thing one more time.
